My nursing career has always been rooted in love, connection, and the quiet celebrations that make life meaningful. In the NICU, I wasn’t just caring for fragile newborns—I was welcoming them into the world with hand-drawn signs, each one a tender tribute to their arrival. These small gestures became keepsakes for families, tokens of hope and joy that would one day remind their children just how cherished they were from the very beginning.

Later, in hospice care, I walked alongside families during their most sacred goodbyes. In those tender moments, I found a new way to offer comfort—by painting portraits of their beloved pets. These animals, often silent companions through illness and healing, became vibrant brushstrokes of memory. If the families felt a connection to the piece, I gifted it to them, knowing it might bring a little light in the midst of loss.

When I stepped away from hospice nursing, the art stayed with me. I continued painting pets for friends and loved ones, and with each portrait, I felt the deep joy of honoring the bond between humans and their furry family members. What began as a gesture of comfort grew into a passion—a way to preserve love in color and canvas.

Now, my artistic journey has expanded to include abstract landscapes and expressive florals. These pieces reflect the emotional textures of caregiving, the spiritual rhythms of healing, and the beauty I see in everyday life. Whether through a pet’s soulful eyes or the bloom of a wildflower, my art is a celebration of connection—of the ways we care, remember, and hold each other close.
